DIY Closet Dividers

This was a really fun project that I've been dying to do!  Best of all, it only took about an hour (probably less if you aren't as anal as I am), and they are super cute.  Let me say this first of all, I don't come up with any of these ideas on my own.  I steal.  This idea came from here:  http://projectnursery.com/projects/baby-rs-nursery/

So here's what you do:

First, gather your supplies.  I went to Michael's, because I liked their selection best.  You need foam closet dividers, foam stickies of your choosing, and a sharpie.  The sharpie I already had, and with my teacher discount, I was able to get everything I needed for about $10.

(don't judge me for this being sideways.  I do crafts, not technology.)

Next, I went ahead and wrote out my month dividers with the sharpie, and divided my stickies to make sure I had enough for all of them.  I did two sets - one for tops and one for pants.

After that, stick away to your heart's content!  Again, I plotted mine out before I actually stuck them down.  We are doing William's bathroom in a fish motif, so I chose that for his closet as well.

And here's what they look like finished!  I did all the way up to a year, with 3 month increments.  Last thing, take your scissors and cut a slit through the top so you can slip them over the closet rod (unless you feel like taking the whole rod down and sliding them on, but ain't nobody got time for that).

And here is William's closet, complete with clothes!
If it ever stops raining here in North Texas, I'll be able to do some of my painting projects and get some more tutorials up.  Enjoy!
